Focus Areas
The INTENT platform is currently focused on accelerating deployment of electric vehicles at scale in the three-wheeler, heavy passenger and commercial vehicle segments. The platform will develop carbon credits to support developed electric mobility and battery storage projects offsetting peak demand and charged by renewable sources.
Pipeline of Projects

Electric Buses
Aggregation of demand and standardization in the bus sector has enabled electrification of public buses in India at scale. However, 92% of the 1.4 million buses are owned and operated by private operators. The platform is developing solution to enable segments such as intercity, school and staff transit buses transition to electric buses at scale.
Electric Autos
India has almost 8 million passenger three-wheelers across the country that provide essential commute option in urban areas. Converting them to electric will measurably improve pollution and reduce operation costs for operators directly impacting livelihoods provided affordable financing is offered.

Electric Trucks
Medium and heavy-duty trucks comprise only 2 percent of the total vehicle population but contribute 30 percent of the overall vehicular road transport emissions in India. Total Cost of Operations (TCO) for electric trucks are significantly reducing but change in existing deployment models is needed to enable transition the sector.
Carbon Credits and Battery Storage
Battery Storage projects are currently unviable in India and require fiscal support. Developing aggregated carbon credits for projects that use renewable power for charging to offset peak hour electricity generation through fossil fuels will improve financial viability attracting further investments in a sector essential to India’s energy transition goals.
